IN GOD WE TRUST
True patriotism acknowledges the law of God in
national affairs. It is not by accident that our coins tell the world” “IN
GOD WE TRUST”. However: “IN GOD WE TRUST” on our coins means
nothing unless……. IN GOD WE TRUST. Borrowed

“A TEACHERS
SADNESS”
“I was sad last
Sunday morning at class time, I certainly hadn’t planned on being sad,
but there I was with tears
in my eyes. Let me tell you why.”
It wasn’t because I hadn’t
prepared, because I had. I prepared a whole week for the lesson. I read the
lesson in the Bible. I looked at maps too. Then I made an outline of the main
points and had it well organized. I spent hours looking for the right materials
to use. I spend one whole night putting it all together.
“I wanted to be sure
the children could all get finished during the class hour, and I knew they
couldn’t, so I spent some more time drawing, cutting, and pasting until
everything was perfect.”
“Then when all the
work was done, I got down on my knees and prayed for your child and others like
him. I didn’t just think of that lesson, but the impact it might make on him
for years to come.”
I was tired when I
finished, but it was ready. Finally, at long last, it was Sunday morning –
class time. The room was shining, and I was there early.”
“Only one thing was
wrong that day. YOUR CHILD DIDN’T COME!!!!!”
“And that’s why I was
sad. So, now that I’ve told you my story. I hope you are sad, too.” Unknown Author
